Founded in 2011 by Ashley V. Johnson, CPA and Robyn K. Fuller, CPA, J & F Advisors is a financial consulting firm committed to providing reliable, efficient, and invaluable accounting services to small businesses and non-profit organizations. Predominantly we service clients in the Metro Detroit area. However, J & F services clients across the country, as needed.
Maintaining financial organization and literacy within a company is an essential piece to the survival and success of any business, and our goal at J & F Advisors is to be the premier provider of those critical accounting services, and to provide those services at a competitive price. Meet the Owners
Ashley V. Johnson, CPA, EA, CGMA
As a co-owner of J & F Advisors, Ashley leverages over ten years of accounting experience, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Master of Science in Accounting, and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license to cultivate sustainable financial solutions for your company. Prior to the organization of J & F Advisors, Ashley was employed at two of the Big Four accounting firms. While employed at these Big Four firms, Ashley performed and completed financial and compliance audits for large governmental entities and small to mid-size businesses within the automotive, restoration, newspaper, airline, energy, and numerous other industries. Ashley has comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS). Ashley is also experienced in auditing local governments, not-for-profit organizations, and other organizations requiring audits in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and the OMB Uniform Grant Guidance. In addition to Ashley’s Big Four experience, she also has worked in the capacity of a Senior Financial Analyst for one of the Big Three automobile manufacturers. She was also recently appointed as the Assistant Division Director of Grants & Contracts for Wayne County, Michigan.
Ashley earned her BS in Accounting Degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wayne State University in 2008. She earned her MS in Accounting Degree from Michigan State University in 2009, and later received her designation as a CPA from the Michigan State Board of Accountancy in 2010. Recently, Ashley received her Enrolled Agent licensure from the United States Department of the Treasury. In her spare time, Ashley is actively involved in the community, and has served as the chair of the Volunteer Income Tax Association (VITA) Committee for the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) in Detroit. Ashley is very passionate about bringing positivity and optimism to the City of Detroit, and changing the way Detroit is perceived around the world.
Ashley holds professional memberships with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) and the Michigan Society of Enrolled Agents (MiSEA).
Robyn K. Fuller, CPA, CGMA
Robyn K. Fuller, a Detroit Native and Co-Owner of J&F Advisors, has over seven years of accounting experience, working with Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, government, and more. After completing a Bachelor’s of Business Administration at The University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, and Master’s of Science in Accounting, Robyn began a full time career as an auditor. Robyn also obtained her Certified Public Accounting licensure, in the State of Michigan, and worked for two of the Big Four accounting firms. Prior to her Big Four experience, Robyn performed bookkeeping for a large property management company, non-profit accounting, as well as audit for local government. Most recently, Robyn has worked as a Senior Level Auditor for an International Financial Services Company.
After working with clients as large as GM and as small as individual owners, across multiple industries, Robyn learned that her passion behind starting J&F was her love for consulting and helping others. Robyn’s vision for J&F goes far beyond providing “”Reliable, Efficient, and Invaluable”” accounting services, but she is dedicated to giving back to and improving the City of Detroit. Recently, Robyn was selected to attend the 6th Annual AICPA Leadership Academy, which is a program that selects 38 CPAs out of hundreds of applicants, to attend a life-changing leadership workshop. She holds membership with the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA Detroit and Chicago), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Institute for Internal Auditors (IIA), Illinois CPA Society, as well as a repeat and active volunteer with Junior Achievement.
